Malta Tourism Authority Recognizes Top Performing Restaurants at Awards Ceremony

For the third year running, MTA held their Quality Assured (QA) restaurant awards on May 30 at the Intercontinental Hotel Malta where we were honoured to take part as a sponsor. ReviewPro has been working closely with MTA since partnering with the organization in 2016 to help hospitality businesses across the country manage online guest feedback analytics to boost guest satisfaction.

All restaurants were assessed by means of a mystery guest who followed a set of criteria covering service, hospitality, food, ambience and other areas. Today a total of 112 restaurants hold the QA seal, including 23 restaurants who received the Quality Assured Award for the first time.

The aim of the QA Seal is to encourage best practices and recognise those who achieve a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. ReviewPro sponsored the category for the Best Customer Feedback, based on 20,000 customer reviews covering all of the QA restaurants.

Reviews were analyzed using our Global Review Index (GRI™), the industry-standard online reputation score available exclusively to ReviewPro clients. Aggregated from review data collected from 175 review sites in more than 45 languages, the GRI™ is used by thousands of hotels and restaurants worldwide as a benchmark for reputation management efforts.

A positive online reputation is not only important for hotels but for restaurants too. Helping to increase reservations and walk-ins, a solid online reputation directly impacts a restaurant’s revenue potential. Studies have revealed that a half-star improvement in online ratings can lead to a 30%-49% greater likelihood a restaurant will be fully booked during peak dining times.*
